ED! Academy for Sustainable Design, Education and Communication was founded by Andrea Fuchs and Anno Fekkes in 2011.
The foundation is due to the the lack of attention for sustainable design and competences at designstudies in the Netherlands.
Andrea (graphic designer and free lance lecturer) and Anno (former head of the department graphic design / visual communication at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and the University of Art and Science in Tilburg) would like to change this situation by offering guest lectures with a sustainable curriculum at designschools in Holland and abroad.
Besides this activities, they are planning to set up all kind of workshops and design experiences for (graphic and communication) designers and design students.
Let us know if you want to receive ED! news regularly. Thanks!
The first workshops were organised in November 2011: the Sustainable Designer Thursday (in cooperation with the Groene Offerte and communication expert Linda Osnabrug and Hanneke Savenije), the Sustainable Student Friday (with Gert Rieder -Antalis-) and the Sustainable Casual Saturday.
During this Saturday, opened by Rabin Baldewsingh, The Hague alderman of sustainable affairs, several sustainable activities were presented: GreenGraffiti®, the sustainable magazine P+, People, Profit, Planet, Apps for the Planet, the Green Museum and Limitee.
As from 1 september 2012 ED! is starting the one-year ED! Master in Sustainable Graphic and Communication Design
